Our Story
The Hawks Nest Bar and Grill started out as a simple question. Where do you watch Seahawks away games? Because, let's face it, there's nothing like a Seahawks game day. What could compare to standing in the cold and rain with 60,000 of your best friends, feeling the energy of the 12th man take over the whole city? But then during away games, the experience is lacking. It's just not the same when you're watching a game alone or surrounded by people who don't care about it as much as you do. But where can you go to be surrounded by your fellow 12th man when the Hawks hit the road?
This desire for a "home away from Qwest" lead Hawks Nest owners Joe Piano and Rachel Kessel on a 2 year search for a Seahawks bar in Seattle. The result? Restaurants with tv's in the corners that had ESPN on mute and hipster hangouts where it felt awkward to stand up and cheer when the Hawks convert on 3rd and 1 or cry foul when we're called for holding. Firmly believing that the 12th man deserves a place to root for their team in a sports bar that loves the Seahawks as much as they do, The Hawks Nest was born.
We'll be opening our doors in early August, just in time for pre-season. So come on down, 12th man, and watch the game with people who understand you and who are as passionate about the Seahawks as you are. We've got a frosty beer and warm snacks waiting for you and we're ready to talk Hawks.
